Welcome to the class blog of Te Whanau Whakaakonga, the family of learners. We are a class of 50 students (years 2, 3 and 4) and 2 teachers, Mrs Allen and Whaea Donna.
Our beautiful rural school is called Broadlands School and is near Reporoa (halfway between Taupo and Rotorua) in the central North Island of New Zealand.
We have 4 classes and approximately 91 students.

Working with partners in Numeracy
We had fun learning about New Zealand coins and their values.
Then we worked together to write our own money sums.
I like your new blog and all the learning that's happening in your class. Maybe we can go to McDonald's one day and you can help me buy a hamburger, since you are so clever with money? Now I can't wait for our Swimming Sports, to see how you display the skills you are learning. Hugs Ms van der Spuy
